RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement) facilitate the sender/account holder to transfer the fund to another person/bank immediately without any delays. It is done in real-time and within 30 min only. NEFT (National Electronic Funds Transfer) facilitate a person to transfer fund from one account to another account easily. It is done in hourly batches.
For RTGS, the minimum amount transferred should be more than Rs. 2 Lacs with no maximum limit. For NEFT, there is no minimum or maximum limit to transfer the funds.
Customers can do the RTGS / NEFT Online with access to an internet / mobile banking facility and if they don’t have the access to this facility then they can fill the application form for RTGS/NEFT offline & submit it to the bank’s branch to process the transaction.
For that, they have to provide details of the beneficiary (like his/her name, bank, branch name, IFSC, account type, and account number) and the amount to be remitted, and also sender/remitter details.
Working hours of bank branch for NEFT/RTGS are as follows:
- For NEFT:- Monday To Friday : 09:00 AM To 05:00 PM & Saturday (except 2nd & 4th): 09:00 AM To 01:00 PM
- For RTGS:- Monday To Friday : 09:00 AM To 04:30 PM & Saturday (except 2nd & 4th): 09:00 AM To 12:30 PM

Steps To Fill Indian Bank NEFT/RTGS Form – Offline
To fill the Indian Bank NEFT/RTGS Form without facing any problem, you need to follow the given below steps:
- You will see there are two sections in the form. The right-hand section is for Beneficiary & Remitter Details and the Left-hand section is for Customer Acknowledgement Copy. To process the RTGS/NEFT you have to fill in all the details correctly.
- In the first section, fill Beneficiary Details such as Beneficiary Name, Account No., Name of Bank & Branch Address, IFSC Code, Amount (in figure & words), Remitter/Sender Name, Address, PAN No., Mobile No., etc.
- Now check the details carefully, sign it & submit the same to bank officials.
- Bank official will sign & stamp the form to process the transaction &
- The second section is where the bank will provide transaction ref. no., date of remittance & UTR No. to the customer for future ref. in regards to RTGS/NEFT being processed.
